Testing new additives for aircraft engines

ORBISAVIA tested the additive AEROTEC METAL CONDITIONER from AEROTEC GROUP a.s. at the LOM Praha test facility and also at its test facility.

After numerous experiences from the towing operations of Zlín and especially Cessna 206/207 aircraft used in smaller drop zones (parachute centres), where there was a huge wear of engine parts, PRAGA Avia came to the conclusion that one of the ways to help is to test AEROTEC on their own.

The simulation of operation was first carried out in both test facilities without the use of AERTOTEC Metal Conditioner in all possible modes. Subsequently, AERTOTEC Metal Conditioner was applied and the measurements were repeated several times after incorporation. The results showed a clear reduction in the load on the engines in high modes. There should thus be savings in operation, in particular by reducing the frequency of engine failures associated with overloading or short-term drops or failures in oil pressures that can occur at G multiples in aerobatic aircraft or drone operation.

Thus, together with the manufacturer of the Metal Conditioner additive, we will initiate the certification process for the use of these products in general aviation.
